What is AWS…

AWS(Amazon Web service)is the cloud service provider company which is the product of Amazon Company. Cloud computing with AWS Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 175 fully featured services from data centers globally.

What is Cloud Computing…❔

Cloud computing is the on-demand availability of computer system resources, especially data storage and computing power, without direct active management by the user. The term is generally used to describe data centers available to many users over the Internet.

Widely Grown Customers of AWS!!

Most enterprise customers across industries choose AWS as their Cloud platform. Goldman Sachs, Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Siemens, Shell, and Comcast are some of the thousands of enterprises using AWS to create new revenue streams, improve operational efficiency, and reduce business risks.

Clearly, AWS is the cloud computing platform of choice for businesses across a range of industries. But who are the biggest, and how much money are they spending on these services? According to Intricately, the top ten AWS users based on EC2 monthly spend are:

Netflix: $19 million
Twitch: $15 million
LinkedIn: $13 million
Facebook: $11 million
Turner Broadcasting: $10 million
BBC: $9 million
Baidu: $9 million
ESPN: $8 million
Adobe: $8 million
Twitter: $7 million

One who not is in this list is… Apple Company !!

AS per Rebecca Quick, CNBC ,Apple has not publicly said it relies on AWS for more than iCloud. But even still, an expenditure of more than $360 million a year means Apple is deeply reliant on AWS to operate core parts of its business, even though doing so means working with a soon-to-be-rival in online video and a current competitor in areas like artificial intelligence, streaming music, and smart home products.

⭐Let See the Apple’s Case Study ⭐

What is actually the Apple Company is ….?

Apple Inc. is an American multinational technology company founded by Steve Jobs in 1977 headquartered in Cupertino, California, that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, computer software, and online services. It is considered one of the Big Tech technology companies, alongside Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Facebook.

The company’s hardware products include the iPhone smartphone, the iPad tablet computer, the Mac personal computer, the iPod portable media player, the Apple Watch smartwatch, the Apple TV digital media player, the AirPods wireless earbuds and the HomePod smart speaker. Apple’s software includes macOS, iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS operating systems, the iTunes media player, the Safari web browser, the Shazam music identifier, and the iLife and iWork creativity and productivity suites, as well as professional applications like Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Xcode. Its online services include the iTunes Store, the iOS App Store, Mac App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, iMessage, and iCloud. Other services include Apple Store, Genius Bar, AppleCare, Apple Pay, Apple Pay Cash, and Apple Card.

How Apple uses AWS ❔❔

People use more than 1 billion Apple devices each month, and accordingly, Apple has considerable computing and storage requirements. The company is investing heavily to build its own infrastructure: In January 2018, Apple announced plans to spend $10 billion on data centers in the U.S. within five years. In December, Apple said it would spend $4.5 billion of that amount through 2019. The company also depends on smaller third-party cloud providers. But it also relies on the big cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services and Alphabet subsidiary Google. Microsoft has also provided cloud tools to Apple in the past.

The company has said in the past that it uses AWS for iCloud storage but has not disclosed whether any other Apple services use AWS or other third-party clouds.

If Apple’s AWS use stays at those levels for the rest of 2019, its annual spending would exceed $360 million. Apple spent approximately $350 million in 2018, one of these people said. The expenditures are likely to continue for the foreseeable future. In the past few months, Apple signed an agreement that includes a commitment to spend at least $1.5 billion on AWS over the course of five years, a source said. In the most recent fiscal year, Apple had $30.94 billion in operating expenses.

In 2017 AWS service caused problem to Apple Functioning services!! It’s not clear in this case that Apple will require much more compute from AWS and thus a larger, more expensive contract. Apple runs a number of data centers of its own throughout the US and it is likely a chunk, or even a majority, of its online services run on those data centers, although the company has never explicitly disclosed this information. Neither Amazon nor Apple were immediately available for comment.

iOS

By using AWS Mobile Services, iOS developers can quickly and easily spin up and deploy an entire back-end system for supporting their mobile application while employing modern architecture patterns that are cost efficient, scale quickly, and provide essential and innovative services and functionality to delight and retain end users while growing the user base via sophisticated analytics and multi-channel messaging and engagement campaigns.

AWS Mobile Services provides a number of resources to help iOS developers start implementing and using AWS Mobile features and functionality in their applications.iOS uses Amplify(cognito,S3) service of AWS.

  • Apple mobile devices (iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or newer will connect to the iCloud storage associated with your Apple ID. Then, iOS and other apps capable of saving data to iCloud will automatically synchronize that data while you’re connected to the Internet.

Apple Company has six data centers in the United States, two in Denmark, and three in Asia. One of Apple’s original iCloud data centers is located in Maiden, North Carolina, US .Beside this they need to use AWS for giving more functioning facility to their users.

Apple is going to spend at least $1.5 billion on AWS over five years, such a huge requirement apple need from AWS.Should it prove a success, it will require huge infrastructure investments to run services. For Apple, which is trying to transform itself into a service provider and entertainment behemoth that doesn’t have to rely so heavily on selling expensive phones every year, it’s an expenditure that will likely only continue to soar.

So,the AWS is most leading Company for cloud computing becoming huge part of almost all types of industries !!

Thank You…!!!
